You Have Been Chosen to Be a Member of an Interdisciplinary

You have been chosen to be a member of an interdisciplinary team that was formed to address a problem. There has been a decline in patient satisfaction in a hand rehabilitation clinic at University X Healthcare System. In the past, this clinic had been highly regarded. To add to the dilemma, a competitive institution just announced the opening of a hand rehabilitation clinic. You are familiar and experienced with groups and group process. At the first meeting you orient yourself to the other members of the group and begin to get a "feel" for the group process.
From a combination of your study of group process and experience you know that all groups demonstrate consistent patterns of member, leader and group behaviors as they relate to the acquisition of roles, the assumption of and response to authority, norm development and communication patterns.
