Attributes preceded by a # are actually considered as name mangling and are still accessible outside of the class using the _ClassName__AttributeName syntax. However, it is considered best practice to treat them as private and not access them directly from outside the class. Private attributes in Python are marked with a leading underscore, like _my_attribute.
