Sometimes groups are facilitated by a trained professional; others are composed of only peers. Peer-to-peer groups are very helpful in all areas of counseling. We seem to be more open to our peers and their experiences and solutions. And who could possibly be more understanding, in tune with us, or more encouraging than peers who have gone through the same ordeal and survived?
