Read the excerpt from this note: I had the pleasure of seeing your patient in my clinic. As you know, Mr. Skein is a 39-year-old male with a chronic history of atopic dermatitis. His atopic dermatitis was well controlled with topical corticosteroids until 3 weeks ago, when he developed a new rash consisting of vesicles overlying the areas of xerosis on his extremities. He was initially diagnosed with impetigo and treated with topical antibiotic therapy. He returned in 1 week without any improvement and was put on oral antibiotics at that time. He has now come to my office for a second opinion.
