Read this excerpt from an Eye Consult: As is common with this condition, the medicine alone was not enough to prevent glaucoma. I have been routinely monitoring her IOP, and it has risen in the recent past. It is my recommendation to perform a trabeculectomy to relieve the pressure. I discussed the risks and benefits from the surgery with Mrs. Robison, and she is interested in proceeding. She will contact my staff for scheduling.
