The file VoteTV.sav includes the variable vote that indicates who the participant voted for in the 1992 U.S. presidential election and the variable tv that indicates the number of hours of TV per day that the person estimates he/she watches. The data come from randomly selected adults aged 18-65 contacted by the National Opinion Research Center from 1993-1998. Determine whether the mean number of hours of TV watched by people who voted for Clinton ( vote = 1) differed from the mean number of hours of TV watched by people who voted for Bush ( vote = 2). In performing this test, determine whether underlying distributional assumptions for the variable tv are better met by applying a log 10 transformation. Summarize results of the analysis following the format described in the text.
