Capacity of an organization refers to the maximum physical quantity an organization can produce. A plant’s facility lay out will be determined based on the capacity the organization want to produce.

For example, if a plant is designed to produce transformers of up to 300 K.V capacity then it cannot produce transformers of 500 K.V capacity.
