A communication channel is a medium using which the sender can transmit the message across to the receiver. The types of communication channels which can be used to communicate the message are explained as described below:

1. Oral: An oral medium contains information which exists in spoken form such as a recorded telephonic message, a song or a direct conversation between two people.

2. Written: Written communication involves information offered in written form. Normally in written communication the information will be given in the form of messages. These messages are written in such a way so that the message can be understood easily.
