Planning Dimensions: Organizational planning is a complex affair and it happens in several dimensions. There are five dimensions in which it commonly takes place. They are identified as follows:

1. Management level: This dimension refers to the organization structure at which the decision is taken. It divides the entire organization into three categories. These categories are: top level management, middle level management and the lower level management.

2. Types of plan: This dimension refers to the type of planning required to address the issue. The issues dealt with are s strategic plan or an operational plan.
