The process of downsizing being socially responsible has stated in the era of 21^St Century. Since, cutting jobs is inherently irresponsible and ethically wrong, therefore many people consider this concept as oxymoron. The people who accept cut in the jobs as a mandatory exercise at the time of recession or unstable economy believes that there exist other ways to downsize in a socially responsible manner.
