Asthma occurs due to inflamed airways. Persons suffering from asthma have difficulty in breathing. They may show symptoms like coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Many people develop the symptoms of asthma while exercising. This is called exercise-induced bronchoconstriction or exercise induced asthma.

If the persons are capable of keeping the condition under control through medication, they can involve in all sports except SCUBA diving.
