Dynamic strength measurement: It is earlier called Free-Weight strength testing. It measures the free dynamic strength while exercising with a constant external resistance. It is measured either with free weights or weight stack machines. The resistance remains constant throughout the range of motion.

Advantages:

• Low cost of equipment

• Dynamic application of force that involves sport-specific movements

Disadvantages:

• Possibility of injury to the performer

• The test does not provide information on the force applied over the full range of motion
