Chemicals such as heavy metals that are present in the environment can cause chronic diseases and adverse health conditions. Lead is a heavy metal that is found in the manufactured products and also in certain environments that have been associated with serious health effects. It is considered as a risk-factor that can cause diseases which are chronic and health problems and no levels of lead are considered human-safe.
