What study design may be either retrospective or prospective? Explain.

A prospective study accounts for the consequences, for instance, advancement of disease, during the period of study and then correlates it with other contributing factors. These studies have very less chances of getting biased.

A retrospective study accounts for the causes and tests the contact with the risk factors, with respect to, the consequence framed at the beginning of the study. These studies are more prone to get the bias results, and hence, special care is mandatory.
