Epidemiological studies concerns with the dissemination of illnesses in human population, and referred as descriptive epidemiological studies, or the causes affecting the distribution and frequency, and referred as analytical epidemiological studies. It has several kinds, namely cohort, experimental studies and Quasi-experiment.

Analytical epidemiological studies test the proposed hypothesis, and aim for identifying the association, depending upon groups and individuals. These can be of two types, namely observational analytical epidemiological studies and experimental Analytical epidemiological studies.
