Once at this site, select the tab “Data” and then “International Data Base.” Submit your job and then choose the tab “Population Pyramid.” To access the data choose the Excel tab. Calculate the dependency ratio for Afghanistan and for the United States using 2012 data. Discuss potential reasons for differences in the results.

The age or population pyramid is used by demographers from many years as well as epidemiologists for tracking as well as comparing the changes inside the age of population distribution over time.
