Explain the concept of notifiable diseases.

Such diseases which are of much concern to the public health because of their significance and seriousness are known as notifiable diseases. The disease can be listed in notifiable diseases list, if it has the following features which are as follows:

1. It leads to large scale of death or morbidity.

2. It can have the potential to be transmitted or spread easily.

3. It can be controlled or prevented by taking suitable measures and preventions.
