HIV/AIDS can be transmitted from an infected person to another person through blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. High-risk behaviors include homosexual practices; unprotected oral, vaginal, or anal sexual intercourse; and needle sharing. Discuss how this information can be used in public health action and individual decision making.

HIV (human immuno deficiency virus) is a very lethal virus. There is no cure for this virus. The disease that it causes is AIDS (acquired immuno deficiency syndrome) which is an immunocompromised disease. If an individual’s immune system fails then he or she becomes prone to many diseases. Generally, AIDS leads to death of the individual. So, the public must understand the knowledge of prevention of this lethal disease.
