In the epidemic of the year 1905, it was reported by Wickman that about 45% cases of polio were in children above 10 years in age and about 21% cases in children above the age of 15. Therefore, Wickman concluded that this disease is not only attacks children but its epidemic included other people also who are older in age. Infantile paralysis was initially known to be confined particularly to children.
