Sperm head:

The anterior part of a sperm is named as “head” which contains acrosomal cap to enter into an ovum.

• Generally, the shape of a normal sperm’s head is oval which is 5 micrometer long and 3 micrometer wide.

o The acrosomal cap covers half of the head and the two thirds of nucleus in the sperm.

• Sometimes the abnormal sperms are produced because of energy deficiency.

o The abnormal sperms’ head are in different shapes like double head, amorphous head etc… but they are not in oval shape.
