Discuss the advantages and sources of error of the reagent strip test for leukocytes.

Leukocyte:

White blood cells in blood are called leukocytes.

• They fight against micro-organisms causing infectious disease.

Advantages of reagent strip leukocytes test:

• Chemical test provide standardize results for detecting leukocytes.

• In leukocytes chemical test not only leukocytes are detected but also the lysed leukocytes detected in urine (Dilute, Alkaline) which is impossible through microscopic examination.
