Following are the five objectives that consumer electronics should set: The objective of a retailing organization is to guarantee the needs of its target market, management and employees in an efficient and effective way. The appropriate objectives for large consumer electronics chain include: 1. Meeting the specific needs of store customers at each location. 2. Having clearly defined personnel procedures. 3. Guaranteeing completion of the given tasks. 4. Eliminating organizational redundancies. 5. Maximizing communication among staffs and with the management.

In order to develop a retail organization, it is very important to consider the employee needs due to following reasons: Management must ensure the employees' needs to be challenged, to feel secured, esteemed, and so on. Those employees who perceive that they are challenged by their positions, treated fairly, rewarded for good performance and feel that they are on a specific career path must be highly motivated. Developing continuous training programs, motivating employees through specific benchmarks, promoting from within and providing adequate health insurance are some of the ways the retailer can fulfill the needs of the employees.

The steps which are required to setting up small and large retail organizations are similar. Even though, the small retailer organization has little departmentalization, no branch units, and less specification, it is required to have all functions to coordinate like large retail organization. Thus, steps are common for small and large retail organizations.
