Diet pills are the weight reducing pills (eg: orlistat) that are prescribed as a part of weight loss treatment in obese patients. The orlistat works by reducing the fat absorption, it inhibit the lipases of pancreas and intestine. The orlistat available on prescription is more effective than those that are available without prescription.

Limbic system includes the cortical and subcortical structures (primitive forebrain structures) such as, amygdaloidal complex, hypothalamus, epithalamus, parts of basal ganglia and midbrain reticular formation. The amygdale of the limbic system is extensively concerned with memory , and other functions of limbic system include, olfaction, regulation of endocrine glands, autonomic functions, circadian rhythm, and sexual function. Hippocampus of limbic system is essential for the conversion of long term memory to short term memory.
