The dosage range defines a minimum and maximum amount of drug that a person can administer to exhibit the therapeutic effect. This dosage range is different for different drugs. The fact is that different amounts can produce therapeutic effects. The prescribed dose by the doctors is often within the dosage range depending on how strong an effect is required for the treatment of the patient. The range is also dependent on the patient's age and physical condition. If the prescribed dose is below the dosage range then the desired therapeutic effect wouldn't be produced and if it is above the range then it can prove harmful as well as fatal. Some drugs are although deadly poisonous but when prescribed in small amount can help to relieve disorders.
