Different situations can cause eustress or distress. Many prople have had the experience of a family member dying such as a grandparent. This causes distress. A positive eustress can be going to a concert and enjoying the experience. Many students deal with distress when it comes to their academic requirements. They deal with test stress, deadlines, and many times do not have a balance that lets them recuperate.

Students can displace their anger and frustrations on others. It is easy to become irritated when dealing with all the academic realities of college. Showing this irritation to those around you can cause stress. This could possibly being avoided by taking a break when irritation and anger start to build up.
