In America the passing of law or policy making, everything is guided by influence. From every industry, powerful people put pressure on government officials and elected representative to change or stop a change. The education system is no exception. When we speak about the challenges faced by our education system, the American education is pitiful even after several successful reforms. The teacher's union, vendors, polishers etc., try to formulate policies and dictate terms. Everyone talks about their own interest. There are hardly any interest group that can stand and voice for the interests of children. The policymakers, school administration and school boards, has created a kind of bureaucratic atmosphere, that focuses more on adults rather than students. The agenda of these public-school board meetings revolve around jobs, contracts, and department. One can rarely hear anything which is in the interest of children, students or kids. The teachers find it frustrating to work in such bureaucratic rules that bind them, and they feel that hostility and politics is pervading our educational system.

"The last hired first fired" is policy which is applied during reduction of work force. This policy rather than focussing on the worker's performance and effectiveness focusses on the seniority. The application of this policy of unionized worker can be seen, for example in the teachers of school. The policymakers, school administration and school boards, has created a kind of bureaucratic atmosphere, that focuses more on adults rather than students. The agenda of these public-school board meetings revolve around jobs, contracts, and department. One can rarely hear anything which is in the interest of children, students or kids. This is the right of all students to get a quality teacher and education. The teachers also deserve to be rewarded for the quality educations provided by them. But the system, which is based on "The last hired first fired" policy, takes away job of many effective teachers, and those who are ineffective and incapable get protected by this policy. The teachers find it frustrating to work in such bureaucratic rules that bind them, and they feel that hostility and politics is pervading our educational system. Therefore, I feel this policy not fair as it takes away job of many effective people and the incapables survive based on seniority.

Therefore, public school reform has to take place, that can exert pressure on these boards and can transform public education in the country. There is a need to change of balance of power in public education. There is a need to promote and defend the interests of children. There is need to fight against the bureaucracy created by the board of members in public school and their ineffective instructional curriculum and programs. In this reform its very important that everyone come in front to fight, be it parents, or family members the community. Through public school reform, pressure can be created on elected official for changes in the law in the favour of kids. The need of these reforms is must and this will definitely make American education system the best education system in the world.
