The Anthropo Ogical Perspective Onthe Human Lifecourse

The analogy 'Water is to fish as culture is to humans' represents that water is very essential for the fishes to survive, otherwise, they would die. However, a culture is also very essential for humans and with the help of it, they could sustain their living. The culture enables the people to have control over their elements related to the environment. Nowadays, if there is subtraction of culture from the human's life, then there would be high dependency on the gadgets. In this era, everything is present or is available in the markets or with the local grocers. Mostly, the survival is dependent on the culture of wearing clothes. Clothes are worn to maintain the heat of the body in the locations where temperature is low. It provides shelter to the body and is a type of adaptation that is carried out against the climate or weather. Therefore, the cultural factors interact with the biological characteristics, which are genetical to varying degrees. These interactions that are variable further influence the characteristics, as to how they are expressed in various individuals. However, sometimes the genetical characteristics are exhibited irrespective of the cultural context.

There is occurrence of mismatch between the contemporary lifestyle and the evolved biology. This mismatch has various negative consequences on the health. Thus, due to the mismatch, individuals face various health problems. The people of today are prone to more health problems than the ancestors. Nutrition means inclusion of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins in the diets. These are required for the growth and development of an individual. At certain or specific amounts, an individual requires each of these nutrients. These nutrients are coevolved along with the types of food that were available during the ancestral period. The diet that is coevolved today is incompatible with the food that is consumed nowadays. Therefore, to analyze the correlation between this mismatch, there is a need to examine the agricultural impact on the evolutionary history of humans. The preagricultural diet that was used earlier, at the time of history, was rich in composition of the animal proteins. It was low in the saturated fats as well. The diet was also composed of high content of fats and carbohydrates (fibers). It was low in the salt content, but, was rich in calcium content.

SES or Socioeconomic status is the combination of sociological and economical measure. It measures the experience of the individual's social and economic position of the family. It includes the education of an individual, the occupation and income. The low SES could also state problems mentally or physically. The problems could be because of the environmental situations in the working areas or the illness mentally. Nutrition has impact on the growth of the humans at each stage of their life cycle. The diet of the humans has changed in the upcoming years. Nutrition is required for the growth and development of an individual. At certain or specific amounts, an individual requires each of the nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins. In the US (United States), the socioeconomic status has determined the nutrition and health of the individual's. In US, almost half of the population is obese and overweight. There, the diets are mismatched along with the requirements of nutrients that are important for maintaining a healthy body. Therefore, the people there are malnourished or overweight or underweight.
