Critical Path: A critical path in a PERT network represents the longest path a job can take for completion. It also indicates the amount of time the job requires for completion. It suggests that some of the activities in the job are to be completed on priority and any delay will cause delay in the entire project. Critical path is to be observed carefully and any negligence will prove to be an extra cost for the project.
