Group maintenance role on the other hand are played by those member of the group who say and do things to sustain and develop the underlying process of the group. Thus the roles under this include supportive, relationship oriented and employee centered. Lastly the members that play the group task roles are the one who say and do things the helps achieve the underlying objective of the group. The task roles under this are regarded as directive, task oriented, production oriented, job centered and structuring.
