Norms are unwritten rules of social behavior and conduct which all the members of the group follow. They are not formal rulings like policies and procedures set by management. They are created by members of the group themselves. Norms are created as result of social interaction between the group members. Since norms are created as a result of interactions between the members, they understood by all.
