GH came out with Hofstede National cultural Diversity model back in 1970s and 1980s. Model had five dimensions. The model was based on the survey of around 116,000 employees of IBM, working across 40 countries. The survey related to work related values of the various employees in different countries and how work culture in these countries differ.
