Low-grade chronic systemic inflammation is found to be associated with several chronic diseases like hypertension, heart diseases, heart diseases, stroke, cancers, respiratory conditions, and metabolic syndrome. During chronic low-grade inflammation, there is a two to three fold increase in inflammatory cytokines like TNF-? (tumor necrosis factor ?), interleukin-6, and C-reactive protein.
