During prolonged sub-maximal exercise in moderate environments, the body produces more heat than at rest. Therefore, efficient dissipation of heat is necessary to maintain homeostasis. Apart from the hypothalamus that responds to changes in body heat, certain physiological events are responsible for efficient heat loss from the body.
