What are the primary sources of bias in case-control studies?

Bias can be referred as the systemic error during the collection and interpretation of the data, obtained for an epidemiological study. Case-control studies, comprises of categorization of people as controls and cases; and then examining whether the cases are more or less likely than the controls, to attain the lifestyle behaviors, or exposures. The consequence of these studies, is always established before the commencement of the study, and then the study identifies and analyze the reasons, hence, these studies are conducted, retrospectively.
