The mean and median ages for a group participating in a clinical trial are 43 and 51, respectively. What can you say about the distribution of ages?

Mean is the average of the data which is distributed and is sensitive to the outliers (extreme values in the data). Median is the middle term of a distributed data when written in increasing order and is not very sensitive to the extreme values in the data (outliers).
