Decreased glucose level and pH level in pleural fluid:

• Pleural fluid with glucose levels less than 60 mg/dL (milligrams/deciliter) is considered as a decreased glucose level fluid

• Pleural fluid with pH level lower than 7.2 is considered as a decreased pH level fluid

The pleural fluid condition with glucose level of 30 mg/dL and pH level of 6.8 indicates that the patient is with “Pneumonia”.
