The tests are the Wisconsin Card-Sorting Test, the proverbs test, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale IV, Raven's Standard of Progressive Matrices, and the Shipley Institute of Living Scale.
3
What are the particular challenges to neuropsychological testing that managed health care poses?
Due the current economic climate, clinicians are often asked to reduce the number of tests administered during a neuropsychological evaluation, to save on both cost of the assessments and time (to increase billing for more patients). Additionally, neuroimaging has become a very useful clinical tool, and some institutions may turn to that modality in an attempt to obtain faster results.
