In each group, combine the simple sentences into one sentence by using adjec­tives or verbs in a series and by omitting repeated words. In most cases, use a comma between the adjectives or verbs in a series.
EXAMPLE
• Before Christmas, I made fruitcakes.
• I decorated the house.
• I wrapped dozens of toys.
Before Christmas, I made fruitcakes, decorated the house, and Wrapped dozens of toys.
• The contact lens fell onto the floor.
• The contact lens was thin.
• The contact lens was slippery.
• The floor was dirty.
The floor was tiled.
