Working in pairs, locate the split in each of the following run-ons. Some of the run-ons are fused sentences, and some are comma splices -run-ons spliced, or joined together, with only a comma. Correct each run-on by putting a period at the end of the first thought and a capital letter at the start of the next thought.
Gail got to school early to study for a math test when she got there, she found school had closed because of a water-main break.
