An argument makes an appeal to ignorance just if it claims we should believe something on the grounds that no one can disprove it or that we should not believe something on the grounds that no one can prove it. But that we cannot prove something does not show that it is not true and that we cannot disprove something does not show that it is true. These facts are irrelevant to the offered conclusions and so such arguments contain fallacies of relevance.
