To freeze columns, select the field selectors for the columns that you want to freeze, click the More button in the Layout group on the File tab, and then click Freeze Fields.

To freeze columns in Excel, you typically select the column to the right of the column(s) you want to freeze, go to the View tab, and then click on Freeze Panes in the Window group. There is no "Freeze Fields" option under the File tab.
