A continuous feature modifier is a symbol that indicates where a group of two or more features of size are to be treated geometrically as a single feature of size.
The continuous feature modifier can be used to indicate that an interrupted feature or feature of size is considered as a single feature or feature of size. An interruption is where a surface contains a gap that divides the surface into multiple surfaces. Where used to indicate that multiple coplanar surfaces are to be treated as a single surface, the modifier may be placed on an extension line of the surfaces. Where used to indicate that multiple features of size are to be treated as single feature of size, the continuous feature modifier is placed near the size dimension.
